The Mayor of Bukittinggi Erman Safar Received the 2023 Manggala Karya Kencana (MKK) Award.

The award was handed over by the Head of BKKBN Dr (HC) dr Hasto Wardoyo, Sp OG (K), at the 30th National Family Day Gala Dinner (HARGANAS), at Puri Agung, the Office of the Governor of South Sumatra Province, Tuesday (4/7).

In addition to the mayor, the Chairperson of the TP PKK Bukittinggi, Mrs. Fiona Agyta Erman Safar, was also given the MKK honors in the category of Head of the PKK Mobilizing Team.

Wako hopes that the stunting prevalence target to below 14 percent can be achieved in 2024.

"We have formed a team. Alhamdulillah all lines worked. In 2022, we succeeded in reducing the prevalence of stunting from 19% to 16.8%. Thank you to all the teams who really came down and worked for our community. This award, of course, we dedicate it to the people of Bukittinggi," said Wako.

The Mayor of Bukittinggi is the only Mayor in West Sumatra who received the MKK honor. However, it became one of six regional heads in West Sumatra who received the MKK honor along with the Regent of Agam, Regent of West Pasaman, Regent of Sijunjung, Regent of Padang Pariaman and Regent of Tanah Datar.

In commemoration of Harganas 2023, one of the non-ASN KB extension workers in Bukittinggi City, Lusi Mardia, AMd Keb, also received an award. Where, it became the top three best nationally, in the Field Line Energy category of non-ASN PLKB Category. *uc/Ril
