A Fisherman Allegedly Abused Children at an Orphanage with Special Needs in Padang
Guntal.com - A middle-aged man who works as a fisherman is suspected of having molested a child from an orphanage with special needs in the Nirwana Padang Beach area.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Padang Police, Kompol Dedy Ardiansyah Putra, said that the perpetrator with the initials H (40) is a resident of Ulak Karang Selatan Sub-District, North Padang District, Padang City.

"Yesterday, Thursday (25/5/2023) we caught the perpetrator at his residence in the Ulak Karang area," he said, Friday (26/5/2023).

He said that the arrest was a follow-up to the report from the leadership of the orphanage that the perpetrator had molested his student.

"So the leadership of the orphanage did not accept the actions of the perpetrators, finally reported it to Unit IV/PPA, and then the Klewang Team made an arrest," he said.

The incident occurred when the reporter received information from the public that the victim was taken by the perpetrator on a motorbike.

"Then the head of the orphanage and the caretaker immediately carried out a search, but the victim and the reported were not found," he explained.

After the victim returned home, the complainant asked the victim directly who he was going with. The victim then said that the perpetrator had raped her.

"This victim told the head of the orphanage that he was taken to the bushes at Nirwana Padang Beach and the perpetrator had intercourse with him," he concluded. *Uc/ril polres
